hello.
We have 18 bactrian camels-4 of them are babies.
Two camels are very skiny and they don't waant to eat.
Please,give me some advice?
We gess that maybe they have some sickness( like bronchopneumonia),because all camels have stayed 40 days in quarantine place in closed room.
the camels don't have some other simptoms-only they are skyni without apetite..
the other camels are well and they eat good. _________________ Stefani Art Agency |

The more information you give, the better everyone will be able to help.
A few questions:
How old are the sick camels.
How long have they not been eating.
What type of feed are they on, are they nursing, on a bottle, or grass and hay.
Has there been any changes in the type of feed they are getting, or any other changes lately.
Can you get them to eat anything at all.
Are they drinking any liquids.
Are they constipated or normal.

they are young camels- one is 1,6 years old,the other is 3 years old.
they dring water, eat only leafs, they don't want to eat hayand they really like carots.
they are not constipated .they are not nursering(only they were 2 month in quarantine closed plase ,because after arriving).
the baby suck milk. _________________ Stefani Art Agency |

I'm sorry, but there are so many things that it could be I don't know where to start.
I have heard of camel's stomachs being full of gravel, twine and other things. I had one swallow a large sponge when I was washing my truck, luckly that did not hurt him.
If the camel is looking ok and acting ok, I just don't know. Are you feeding them the same thing as they were getting when in quarantine? Have you tried any other types of feeds? You could try feeding them pellets, but do not feed them any pellets or supplements that are made for cattle!!!! That can be very toxic to them.

Thank you.
Now we give them some vitamines and antibiotics. And more carrots.
I hope they will feel better! _________________ Stefani Art Agency |
