Never ever forget the famous CamelCup in Alice Springs Australia, every year on july the 14th. It is organized by the lions club, and is what could be considered a real 'Aussie' day out. you know, beer, camels, heart thumping action, all that, right in the middle of the country, literally.

Hi Nomad,
I’m setting up some web pages about racing camel in different parts of the world; I have this page about done on racing camels in the Middle East: http://www.camelphotos.com/racing_camels.html
This last week I got the photos I needed for racing camels in the US, but I need some form Australia. Do you have any or know of someone that would be willing to email me some?
