Camels can be both smart and a little dense. Camels as with most other animals including us, always seem a little stupid when put in different or unusual situations. But many camels and other animals, that are confined to home paddocks or yards, learn their environment and the behaviour of the surrounding people and animals through their own curiosity. When a camel opens a gate, a door or unties a knot with its lips, it is, learnt behaviour, often but not always through the camels own bordom.
