Have wondered where you are and what you've been doing, Roger? I used to love reading your stories and seeing your pictures.

Getting old, knee pain. My horses Satin and Creek died of old age.
Gobi and Dandy are doing fine.
Had been going to India 2 times a year checking out the camels and elephants there.
Did make it to the Pushkar Camel Fair last year.
Mostly been working on my Jeep and taking it out into the backcountry.

WOW; I love your site. During my temporary work experience in Kuwait I was finally able to ride a camel. How exciting. I'm in love with these animals. I was surprised that a camel ride felt smoother than a horse ride.

Thank you for sharing your Gobi with us. I really enjoyed your stories.

Hi

My name is Marie Manderson and I manage Animals on Q an animal talent agency in Auckland, New Zealand

We have been asked to research the possibility of importing 2 x Bactrian camels into New Zealand for use in a Feature Film, having imported wolves from the US previously (for the film Narnia) we are experienced in the practises that need to take place and the time restraints due to quarantine

A full CV of our director Mark Vette can be sent on request to assure you that this is a serious request.

At this preliminary stage we are interested in hearing from a camel contact that may be interested in exporting to New Zealand, after which we can go into much more detail.

We look forward to hearing from you soon.
