Arabian Camel Trappings
The Arabs weave elaborate designs that are made out of dyed wool, camel hair and horse hair. They are handed down from generation to generation and are highly cherished. They are often hung in their tents as decoration, when they are not being shown off on their prized camels.

Very few parts of the camel have not been covered up with elaborate trappings. The knee covers below and the braded headdresses with sea shalls on it are uncommon, and will seldom seen on a camel. In the Arabian areas, woven headdresses are the most common ones used on camels. Luxuriously hand made trappings (like the one below on the right) are woven and hung from the camel's saddle.

Camel Anklets
Camel anklets are very common in India; most are plain and simple, sometimes as simple as tying a bandana around one front leg. Some more elaborate ones are handcrafted out of brass with small steel balls in them, they make a jingling noise as the camel walks along.
Other types may have dozens of bells on them. The bells are often braded into a colorful fiber and put around the camels front legs.
